COVID 19

June 5, 2023

June 5, 2023    COVID 19

Since the end of March 2021, the Native Council of Nova Scotia, along with the Congress of Aboriginal Peoples, have been working to secure continued COVID19 funding support.  We have been successful in securing several funding amounts between 2021 to the end of 2022.

We are glad to report, that just a few days ago we were able to sign one final agreement for COVID 19.  This is the last round of funding that will be available.   As with the previous supports, we will be able to provide some support towards relieving the stresses caused by COVID 19.

We will be able to provide one time help for emergency housing support, groceries, transportation, essential goods, food security and mental health supports.

We are hopeful that this will help to alleviate a bit of the burden that COVID 19 continues to cause.  Sadly, COVID 19 is here to stay and we must adjust our lives to live with it.

You can have an application emailed or mailed out to you by contacting our office at 902-843-3551 or capcovid@eastlink.ca
